The 1st Ever Annual Village Health Fair Organized by the DYHO which was led by Dr.Tina and her team at “Bonwire, a town after Kumasi. “The life of young individuals in the rural areas are a bit of challenging when it come to education and health. The Non Governmental Organization DTHI, gave hope to the people of Bonwire community by renovating a full block educational facility and was sponsored and supported by DTHI’ Ambassador (CANDACE HOLYFIELD PARKER ) SixFigure Spa Chic. This program engaged the community leaders such as the, The King and Queen Mother of the community (Bonwire), The sub chiefs and other Senior stakeholders. This gave out a light of Hope in the community.
The head Officials for the school including the Head Master, Mr Salifu, and his sub teachers were all grateful for the support. On their arrival, the community organized a traditional derba to welcome them. This was done in other to know more about Bonwire Tradition. It was very important as at that moment because, the community needs help in both sectors (Education
& Health). This brought the booking of One of Ghanaians most practiced Doctor, Kingsley Marnah, ceo and founder of Savior Diagnostic Clinic . On that day, Free screening was organized by the NGO and was captained by Dr Kingsley Marnah and his team. Some tests were also conducted and report on test were produced that same day. They took care of about three Hundred and counting individuals in the community including the Chiefs and their subordinate.
Education on Some health conditions were thought by Dr Marnah and his Health officials. He delivered accurate reports on all the individuals who were part of the screening program. His work on that day was more that enough and needs to be addressed. DTHI as an NGO has made a great significant of impact in the life of the people in Bonwire.
