Keloid , also called a keloidal scar is a raised scar after an injury has healed. keloid is caused by an excess deposition of a protein (collagen) in the skin during wound healing and is usually self diagnosable.

How do I know if a keloid is forming?
Signs and symptoms includes ; Thick, irregular scarring, typically on the earlobes, shoulders, cheeks or middle chest. Shiny, hairless, lumpy, raised skin. Varied size, depending on the size of the original injury and when the keloid stops growing.

Do keloids go away naturally?
Keloids can completely resolve (flatten) so they no longer burden patients. Scars resolving spontaneously do so early in the disease. Those that don’t resolve spontaneously will resolve after treatment.

2. After registration, a card and a Folder is given on the first day visit to complete registration.

3. Patient proceeds to have a consultation and examination with a doctor.

4. Depending on the history of presenting complains and examinations, some laboratory test may/ may not be carried out.

5.Specialist with a team attends to you for a natural keloid removal procedure usually lasts between one to two hours depending on the condition. This treatment involves a topical application of medication on the keloid or portions where necessary for treatment.

6.The reaction between the medication and keloid takes place and patient is kept on close monitoring until desired outcome is achieved.

7.After each session, patient is prescribed medications from our pharmacy to apply on the treated keloidal scar to aid in effective healing as well as prevent infections and reoccurrences. Medications may include oils, tablets and creams.

8.Keloid removal procedure is delivered over a few sessions of scheduled visits depending on the size, type and location of the keloid.
