Dr. Marnah is the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer for Saviour Diagnostic Clinic He is a proud member of the Great AMASS and as part of his everyday activities with healthy educational talk programs, he was invited to their current SRC WEEK CELEBRATION as a Special Guest Speaker with his immediate assistant Dr. Sarah A. Manu who also works as a medical practitioner in his facilities. As part of the Sustainability Development Goal’s 3 Projects that speaks of Ensuring Healthy Lives & Promoting well-being at all ages is essential to sustainable development.
The spread of STD’s and Bacterial infections continues to spread in human most especially Adolescents. As of mid-2022, Bacterial infections had infected more than 3.5 million people worldwide. The latest estimates show that global “excess deaths” directly and indirectly attributed to Sexually Transmitted Infections could have been as high as 1.5 million by the end of 2021.
Dr. Sarah A. Manu, used this opportunity to educate the students of Amass on the topic ADOLESCENT REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND HYGIENE and some of the topic treated were as follows:
1. Who is an Adolescent?
2. What Adolescent reproductive health means.
3.The Adolescent growth & development with their special groups.
4. Importance of Adolescent health education .
5. Genital Hygiene for both sex.
6. HIV and it symptoms. Etc.
The conference occupied over 1,800 students population and also all heads of various departments in the school. Students and Staff Teachers also engaged Dr. Sarah with questions and answers were ediquatly given after the teachings. This talk gave a wild insight to the students and also made them understand very well what it mean to have a good health conditions. As an old student of Amass, he took it upon himself to support the ongoing building project by the SRC. He willingly donated an amount of Gh5000.00 to support the SRC building project. This it to tell that, he has heart for his people and always ready to serve them no matter the situation since he is an alumina of Amass. Dr. Marnah, has a great flow of potentials and with that he said in his own statement, “I won’t stop until I am called to stop by my maker “.
